Background

Book cover of Luin the Sapphire

Evan Pierce, priest of St. Michael, has been made Baron of Pennarth and assigned the task of dealing with the necromancers who control the nearby town of Irenrhod.

Synopsis

When he arrives at the castle, he sees the outer walls have been breached. So has one wall of the castle. Immediately Evan begins the process of rebuilding, by summoning the surviving castle guards back to the castle and hiring workmen to repair the damage.

Visiting Irenrhod, he learns that the town needs guards and a mayor. The necromancers have slain the previous mayor.

But most of all he needs a wizard and enough troops to raid the necromancers' tower. It seems like an impossible task and yet Evan must find a way to prevail before the power of the dark mages is too great to stop.
